Go to the Apple menu (on the top left- hand side of Finder), and choose the Control Panels option. From this option, select the Desktop Pictures control panel. Paste the image into the desktop patterns display (using Command-V or Paste from the Edit menu). Select this display as your default desktop pattern by clicking on the Set Desktop Pattern button. This will display the tiled image on your desktop. If you want to use a larger image as a Desktop Picture, you must first save the image to disk. Any of the available sizes may be used.
